Privacy Policy

We take the protection of your personal data very seriously. Your personal data are kept confidential and handled in compliance with the statutory data protection provisions and this Privacy Policy.

We assure you that we have taken technical and organisational measures for the protection of your rights, and that we always ensure that the statutory provisions are adhered to by both our employees and our external service providers. The following applies as a matter of principle: Your data may only be processed in compliance with the laws and with your consent.

Generally, you can use our website without having to disclose any personal data. Insofar as any personal data (such as name, address or email address) are collected on our web pages, this is done on a voluntary basis wherever possible. These data will not be disclosed to third parties without your explicit consent.

The following applies to the transmission of personal data:
Personal data include information from which your identity is ascertainable. Such information includes, e.g., your name, address, postal address, telephone numbers and email addresses. We store and handle your personal data in accordance with the applicable data protection regulations. We assure you that we keep your personal data confidential and that we will not disclose them to third parties unless we have obtained your consent to do so.

Your personal data are used exclusively for the purpose of handling your personal request. If you are asked to enter any personal data when calling up the pages and files pertaining to this website, you are free to decide whether or not you want to enter these data. The personal data stored and transmitted within Fresenius Umwelttechnik in relation to the use of this internet presence will be used without your consent, but exclusively for contract execution and request handling, and especially for the purpose of handling the data in the processes related to interested parties, applications and support.

If you sign up for our newsletter, we will save your email address and your first and last name.  However, these data will be used only for the sending of newsletters. The data will not be disclosed to third parties unless we have obtained your consent to do so. You may always unsubscribe from our newsletter and/or end the disclosure according to your consent.  In order to do so, just email us at info@fresenius-ut.com. You will then receive an email with the confirmation that your data have been deleted.

We would like to emphasise that the transfer of data via the internet (e.g. when communicating by email) may be subject to security gaps. At the moment, data sent via the internet are basically unsecured. One could compare this to a postcard written with a pencil. That is why it is not possible to fully protect the data against third-party access.  Third parties might gain insight into and falsify the data transfer. For this reason, any consent to data processing submitted electronically can be accepted to only a limited extent.

Access data

Each time a web page is accessed, the data relating to this process are saved in a log file. We receive usage data in connection with this access. These data are saved temporarily for statistical purposes. Afterwards, they will be deleted.
Protocol data are collected exclusively for internal purposes. They are not disclosed to third parties. Such data include:

  • IP address of the requesting computer
  • Date and time of the request
  • Access method/function desired by the requesting computer
  • Input values (file name, …) transmitted by the requesting computer
  • Access states of the web server (file transmitted, file not found, command not performed etc.)
  • Name of the requested file and the data quantity transmitted
  • URL from which the file is being requested/the desired function has been triggered.

The stored data will be anonymised as soon as possible (by deletion of the latest local IP address octet) and used merely for the purposes of identifying and tracing any unauthorised access attempts and accesses to the web server. Apart from the anonymised statistical evaluation, no further data analyses will be carried out. The data will not be assigned to certain persons. No individual user profiles will be created. Without your consent, we will not collect any personal data via our websites. Your consent to the processing of your data given so far can be revoked at any time for future effect. We emphasise that, under certain circumstances and despite your objection, special legal regulations may require us to continue to save the data for a period of time stipulated by the legislature. Any data automatically collected on the websites for the purposes of securing the web services will be processed exclusively within the scope of application of the EU Data Protection Directive. Beyond that, the data will not be used for advertising purposes unless we have obtained your explicit consent (opt-in). The same applies to custom ads. Provided that you have given your consent, we may also process your data within our company. We may also forward your data to selected (distribution) partners, provided that we have obtained your consent to do so.
Beyond that, we will not disclose your data to any other third parties.
We do not assume any liability whatsoever for any data breaches or other infringements on other websites you have been directed to by a link on our pages. Although we have thoroughly checked all linked, external websites, we cannot rule out that the respective operators change any page contents or the way your personal data are handled without our knowledge. If you suspect any infringements of legal provisions on linked websites, please contact our data protection officer. In this case, we will check the pages you complained about as soon as possible and, if required, change or delete the link concerned. All links assigned to the “Links" menu item are to be regarded as external links. Any other links to third-party websites are marked with .
You are entitled to request free information about the personal data stored and processed by us (register of processing operations). Besides, you are authorised to have such data corrected, blocked or deleted. Insofar as deletion is not possible due to statutory or contractual safekeeping periods or for other legal reasons, your data will be blocked instead.

Planned transmission of data to third-party countries

Data transmitted to us on a voluntary basis in connection with our internet presence are, amongst other things, processed using a CRM solution called Salesforce. This solution is also hosted outside the scope of application of the EU Data Protection Directive. Due to the operator’s contractual obligations – which go beyond the minimum requirements on the commitment according to Safe Habor – and the audit certificates submitted (see also: trust.salesforce.com/trust), an appropriate level of protection has been proven to exist here (also refer to the extended requirements of the “Düsseldorfer Kreis").
