24/7 Gas Analysis without Interruption

Continuous gas analysis means measurement data is captured around the clock without interruption – 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. In emission monitoring, this seamlessness is legally required; in process control, it ensures product quality and plant safety; and in the biogas sector, it prevents costly failures during grid feed-in. Fresenius Instruments has consistently designed all analyzers for continuous operation.

The biggest challenge in continuous gas analysis is calibration interruptions: conventional systems regularly require expensive test gas to verify their zero point and sensitivity values – each calibration means a measurement gap. The patented automatic zero-point correction from Fresenius operates entirely without test gas. The analyzer corrects itself during ongoing operation, so measurement data acquisition is never interrupted and the costs for calibration gases are eliminated.

Self-diagnostic functions in all GA series devices, the BioBasic and the FTC300 detect deviations in sensor performance, gas flow or temperature at an early stage and report them automatically. The Cloud Connect Kit transmits this status data together with measurement values via mobile network in real time to a central monitoring platform. For critical events – such as exceeding an emission limit or a sensor defect – the operator is notified immediately.

Through the combination of automatic calibration, self-diagnostics and remote monitoring, Fresenius analyzers are ideally suited for unattended continuous operation. This is particularly relevant for biogas plants at remote locations, decentralized CEMS measurement points or processes in enclosed safety areas. The device lifespan of over 30 years and 10+ years spare parts guarantee underscore the long-term reliability Made in Germany.
